Development Process
Research & Planning
We began with extensive market research to identify pain points in existing bill-splitting apps. User interviews revealed frustrations with manual entry and complex interfaces. We developed user personas and journey maps to guide our design process.
Design & Prototyping

Development
We built SplitEz using SwiftUI for the frontend and AWS Amplify for the backend. The MVVM architecture ensured clean separation of concerns and testability. We integrated OpenAI's API for smart receipt scanning and VisionKit for OCR capabilities.
Testing & Launch
Rigorous testing included unit tests, integration tests, and beta testing with real users. We gathered feedback and made final refinements before launching on the App Store. Post-launch monitoring and analytics helped us identify areas for improvement.
